Aims And Objectives

Aim: The SPWI Journal for Social Welfare is designed to publish reports of original research, theoretical articles and brief communications in Social Sciences. Raising issues across disciplinary boundaries and facilitating the exchange of view, this journal intends to serve as a form of social scientists, especially those who share common interests in the understanding of various problems related to contemporary society.

Disciplines Covered: The Journal seeks scholarly manuscripts that address one or the other aspects of the discipline of Social Sciences. The SPWI Journal for Social Welfare has launched in 2018 to serve the public and it aimed to publish the social issues in areas that include Anthropology, Archaeology, Economics, Geography, History, Law, Politics, Psychology, Public Administration, Tourism, Social Work, and Sociology, Gender Studies, Women & Child Studies, Tribal Studies, Human Resource Management, Rural Development, Education, Philosophy, Media and Communications, and Religious Studies along with their allied interfaces. We seek to build a community of concerned scholars and activists engaged in ushering in a humane and just society, with special reference to weaker Sections, Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribes Welfare. The journal publishes basic, applied and methodologically oriented research from all these areas. The journal publishes original papers on current research practical programmes, short notes, news items, book reviews, reports of meetings and professional announcements. Constructive criticisms and discussions of published papers and letters of relevance and interest to the readership will be published at the discretion of Chief Editor. The journal is committed to prompt review, and priority publication is given to manuscripts with novel or timely findings, and to manuscripts of usual interests.

Frequency: There shall be four issues per year.

Peer Review of Article: All papers and articles submitted are subjected to Peer Review. The possible exceptions are in the case of occasional invited papers and editorials, or where a partial or entire volume is devoted to a special theme.

Special Issue/Volume: Scholars are welcome to edit an entire Special Issue/Volume of the journal in their field or specialization as a Guest Editor.

Subscription Rates: The annual subscription price for four issues, one volume per year for institutions, libraries and other corporate bodies is Rs. 2400/- (in India) US$ 200 (Single Issue: US$ 50 – Rs. 600/-) prices are valid in India. Subscription rates include postage airmail delivery.

Change of Address: Forward change of address about two months prior to moving.

Missing Issue:Claims for undelivered copies will be accepted only after the following issue is received. Missing copies will be supplied when issues have been sustained in transit and where reserve stock permits.

Cancellation: Subscription cancellations will not be accepted after the first issue has been mailed.

Plagiarism Policy: PLAGIARISM can occur in two forms: 1) Author (s) intentionally copy someone else(s) work and claim it as their own, or
2) Author (s) copy her or his own previously published material either in full or in part, without providing appropriate references, also called as “self-plagiarism” or “duplicate publication”.

Plagiarism before publication: The Editor of Journal will judge any case of plagiarism on its own merits. If plagiarism is detected, either by the editors, peer reviewers or editorial staff at any stage before publication of a manuscript before or after acceptance, during editing or at page proof stage, we will alert the author (s), asking her/his to either rewrite the text or quote the text exactly and to cite the original source. If the plagiarism is extensive, that is, if at least 10% of the original submission is plagiarized, the article may be rejected and the authors. Institutions/employer notified.
